Talk to your parents about their finances

This might get deleted but maybe, in the meantime, it can help some people. Found out my dad was scammed out of his entire life savings; >4 million dollars over 7 months. The money is gone. He and my step mom will be β€œok” if the tax bill is able to be handled. FBI, IRS, etc. are all involved. Please talk to your parents if they are older. Had they just said something, maybe this could have been avoided. These scams are getting so sophisticated and they completely fell for it. My sympathies for anyone who has gone through this. It angers me so much that people earn a living scamming others out of an entire life’s worth of work. submitted by /u/sab340 [link] [comments]
