Landlord only accepts checks. Any solutions?

My landlord only accepts checks for rent no online portal and no ACH. The problem is I travel a lot for work and there have already been a couple close calls where I almost missed sending it on time I asked if I could pay another way but he said that he's always been doing it like this and he doesn't want to change it.
