Should I cut this down?

I bought this house in late 2024 and I’m just now getting around to fixing my backyard. I personally kind of hate this rose of Sharon - mainly because of all its little seedlings it drops and are so hard to pull out. My dad told me I need to get rid of it because it’s so close to the side of my garage and may potentially damage the blocks over time. But I’m worried if I get rid of it it will look empty in this corner. There’s actually a path to behind the garage where all the daffodils are and when the tree is in full growth it makes a nice looking tunnel lol. Is there a way to manage this rose of Sharon to keep it from damaging my garage or is it too far past that point? Edit: it’s gone submitted by /u/Plantsnbooksnboats [link] [comments]
